Irresistible Inking Techniques

Irresistible Inking Techniques class with Sara Newman was very fun class.
It got me thinking about how I wanted to use that class and create a card, and this is the out come

Since it was all about inking, I decided to use one of my background stencil and ink it lightly with gray ink

Then I got out my potted plant stampset and my Misti. I stamped  my flowerpots stamps with black ink and then it was time for my ink coloring :)

After getting my flowerpots rightly inked with my Rocky Shore and my Espresso brown ink, and to use the paper in the best way, I decided to stamp my flowers with green ink and then it was time to cut them out using the corresponding die set.

After I had die cut all my stamped images, it was time to but my card together...

I glued both flowerpots to my card and the smaller flower, but the Monstera I put some 3D tape on, to lift her little bit up.

Then to finish off my card, I put it in my Misty, stamped the sentiment in black ink and attached some clear/silver sequins from my stash, and some fine black lines to frame in my card.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Easy Die Cutting Technique

I just finished my next class for AECP, the Easy Die Cutting Technique by Yama Smakula.

I really enjoyed taking this class, got couple of ideas and kinda got reconnected with vellum… I didn't use vellum for this card but I had it at my table ready to be used.

I decided to use the Painted Poppy stamp set and coordinate die set for my CAS (clean and simple) card.
First of, I took some card stock cut it to size, made card and some same size card front. I then figured out where I wanted my poppy flower to be, taped down my die and put through my cutting machine.

I then took both my card and my card base to my Misti, position my stamp in the opening after the die. By doing this like that, you are almost 100% sure to have your stamped image right where it should be :)

I then took out the solid flower pedal stamp and my Crimson ink cube and stamped the flower

Then it was time to stamp the leave...

After all the stamping my card looks like this when it's out of my Misti

And the final touch is to put some 3D tape on the card front, add it to my card base and decorate with some peel off stickers from my stash.
